Supporting UK Motorsport In More Ways Than One

Supporting UK Motorsport In More Ways Than One

As the provider of medicals for thousands of drivers across the UK we are no strangers to motor racing – but we have taken our support a step further with the Perpetuum Motorsport team and are proud to be 2020 sponsors.

Lee Morgan and Andy Wheals, of the Perpetuum team, are based in Shropshire – home to our head offices – and race in the F1000 series.

The pair will be back on the track this weekend at the Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk for the final trip of the season for the 750MC and the finale of the Club Enduro Championship.

The season would usually end in October but after the year’s events will continue into next month.

Teaming Up With Andy Wheals

Lee used to race for the F1000 race team before Andy joined as an independent and the pair decided to join together and set up a team.

“In 2019 we finished 3rd overall despite starting the season with a technical fault which meant we  were not able to do our best in a couple of raced and missed one of the races completely due to repairs.”

The F1000 Championship is the premier bike-engined, single-seater category in the UK and sees some of the fastest and most competitive single-seater racing in the country!

“2020 is very competitive,” added Lee, who will be racing tomorrow and Sunday.

“Qualifying is at 11.05am tomorrow (Saturday 16/10/2020) and Race 1 is at 4.10pm the same day with a further two races on Sunday.

“The Snetterton 300 circuit is the longest circuit we have visited this year. It measures just under 3 miles at 2.96 miles and the F1000Uk lap record is one minute 48 seconds.”

All three races are live-streamed on youtube at https://www.750mc.co.uk/live and the Perpetuum team goes into the race weekend in 6th (Lee) and 20th (Andy) in the championship out of 23 cars at the halfway point in the short session.

“I am going into this weekend off the back of a double victory at Oulton Park and hoping to improve my championship position,” said Lee. “Andy is looking to get some solid finishes on the board after a DNF in the 2nd race at Oulton Park.”

The D4Drivers team is really proud to sponsor the Perpetuum Motorsport team for a second year and are looking forward to seeing Lee and Andy on the podium once again.
