You require a group 2 taxi driver medical in order to drive taxis under any local authority, whether you are applying for a first badge or renewing based on your age.
D4Drivers provide taxi medicals at over 80 locations across the UK and offer regular appointments at times to suit you.
Before booking your medical you can check whether D4Drivers can complete your medical using our purpose built booking portal. You will find out whether your council allows you to visit any Doctor and if medical records are required.

D4Drivers will continue to provide our vital driver medical service to our customers during the current restrictions in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and our opening times are unaffected.
As we fall under the Government's list of key workers and help keep HGV and PCV drivers, as well as taxi drivers and paramedics on the road we will remain fully open throughout the restrictions as they start to ease in May 2021. You are still able to attend medical appointments during these restrictions, as confirmed by gov.uk: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-coronavirus-restrictions-what-you-can-and-cannot-do#healthcare-and-public-services.
All of our clinics are going ahead with additional safety precautions in place. You can feel safe in the knowledge that when you attend your appointment with D4Drivers extra precautions have been taken to ensure you are in a COVID safe environment, including regular cleaning of all surfaces and equipment and strict PPE and social distancing measures.
